    SMG is looking to add an experienced, top-performing inside sales manager to play an integral part in accelerating SMG’s growth by leading a team responsible for initiating new client partnerships. This position will drive new opportunity creation across SMG’s target verticals of retail, restaurant, healthcare and the service industry.  You should be a fierce competitor, but also a team player who recognizes, encourages and appreciates success in others.


    We are looking for more than a sales process director — we need a natural motivator, who is a tech-savvy, polished communicator, and an inspirational leader.

    What you can expect in this role:


    Sales management: Proactively curate and direct the activities performed by a team of Business Development Directors and Business Development Representatives as they work to meet sales objectives and crush their targets.


    Industry knowledge: Demonstrate awareness and understanding of buyer habits and market trends; know relevant stats inside and out and have a curious mindset to learn, grow, and be an expert on SMG’s solutions.


    Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Marketing to optimize demand gen activities and collaborate with Strategic Operations to ensure our process functions well for all stakeholders, with a concentrated focus on what’s best for our sales team.

    What you’ll need to succeed:


    • Minimum of 5 years experience managing an inside sales team generating opportunities for SaaS, CRM, or other analytics solutions within a multi-stakeholder environment
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + experience using Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM tools to manage pipeline
    • Clear, concise, and persuasive communication skills
    • Organized + flexible work style
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Ability to interact with all levels of management
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Ability to analyze data and translate numbers into concrete, consultative advice
