SMG is looking to add an experienced, top-performing Sr. Sales Executive to play an integral part in accelerating SMG’s growth through initiating, developing, and closing new client partnerships. This position acts as a CEO of their own vertical—knowing their industry target inside and out—and uses that drive to know more and do better. You should be a fierce competitor, but also a team player who recognizes and appreciates success in others.

What you can expect in this role:


Business development: Proactively curate, implement, and direct business development activities that will meet sales objectives as part of the overall growth strategy of the company; acquire new business partners through your own prospecting, cold-calling, and networking; build relationships with industry client leaders


Industry knowledge: Demonstrate awareness and understanding of buyer habits and market trends while concurrently assessing marketplace developments of competitors; know relevant stats inside and out and have a curious mindset to learn, grow, and be an expert on SMG’s solutions

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Minimum of 46 years presenting SaaS, CRM, or other analytics solutions within a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + experience using Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM tools to document and manage pipeline
  • Proven track record of quota attainment, lead management, and multi-quarter pipeline development while managing multiple opportunities and maintaining accurate forecast
  • Previous achievement of industry awards—such as patterns of success, top-performing awards, President’s Club, etc.
  • History of personally acquiring new clients, developing and executing against a territory plan, and managing multiple deals from initial research to closed won
  • Clear, concise, and persuasive communication skills
  • Ability to produce killer presentations that demonstrate solution capabilities and are aligned with client needs
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
